Holy cow! There’s a survey coming YOUR way!
That survey, which will arrive around September 9th, will be a key part of our church’s search for a new pastor.
The survey – scheduled to be available online for three weeks starting Sept. 8 – will be conducted by the Holy Cow consulting firm, which calls the survey a Congregational Assessment Tool, or CAT, for short. This will play a significant role in bringing a new permanent pastor to First Presbyterian Church. And, results of the survey will be used in creating a self-study of our church and its members.
The presbytery of which we are a member – Savannah Presbytery, requires a self-study to be conducted before our church can form a Pastor Nominating Committee – the handful of church leaders who will be recruiting our next senior pastor. Our self-study is being overseen by a committee consisting of Jordan Chase, who’s chairing the team; co-chair Allison Johnson; and Natalie Chase, Steve Eagle, Joshua Herrington and Rich Wittish. They’re hoping each of you will participate in the upcoming CAT because of the effect the survey will have in determining the long-term future of our church.
The survey will be posted here next month, but a paper version will be available after Sept. 9th at the church.
