CHANCEL CHOIR WILL BE PAUSING REHEARSALS
Due to the rise in COVID19 cases, the Chancel Choir will not meet until COVID19 case numbers decrease. With the
increased risks associated with singing and the difficulty of rehearsing while socially distanced, choir members agreed to
not rehearse on Wednesday evenings. There will be four singers in the loft each Sunday to lead hymns. Singers will be
masked and socially distanced. The choir will resume rehearsals once the COVID19 numbers decline and it is safer to
sing. While we realize this is disappointing, the choir wants to ensure everyone’s safety. We will have soloists or
instrumentalists each week in worship, and we look forward to some beautiful music.
The Chancel Choir is a volunteer choir for adults, with varying skill levels of singing. The members love to sing, they want to develop their musical skills, and they desire to use their gifts of song to the worship of God. The choir sings for the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Rehearsals will normally take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. In addition to Sunday worship, the choir presents an annual service of Advent/Christmas music.
