First is committed to participating in all of the annual special mission offerings throughout the year. We support the Savannah Presbytery and the Presbyterian Church USA.
In addition to moneys collected and distributed to the various groups and organizations with specific purposes, the mission committee is dedicated to educating the congregations and wider Savannah community with its annual Mission Emphasis Week. Each October, we welcome a mission co-worker to visit and spend time bringing into focus the pursuits, needs and prayer concerns of the specific part of the world in which they work. This is an exciting and highly interesting chance for us, and all ages are welcomed to learn through the many meetings, programs and lessons shared during their visit.
