Stewardship Season 2024
a message for the congregation
Dear Members and Friends of First,,,
This year our stewardship theme takes on special meaning as we go about making the transition to a new kind of life for our congregation. For much of the recent past, we have been a pastor-led church but are now in the process of becoming a session-led one.
This means learning how to respond to new challenges, financial and otherwise. You have only to look at the re-configuring of the music program, the neighborhood dinners to introduce Danie and Annette to the congregation, the refreshing teamwork of the staff, and the supercharged work of each of the session committees to observe the results of this new approach.
If you see an active elder looking out of breath, there is a good reason.
Many in this church have already pitched in. We invite you to join us in building God's Kingdom together. We are a small to mid-sized church that has always achieved at a high level in serving he Lord. Let us respond to God's grace with hearts full of gratitude as we continue to serve as the "Servant Church in the City,and unite in bringing his love and light to the whole of the world.
Your contribution to the 2025 budget matters.
Each contribution, whether through service, prayer, or financial giving, strengthens the foundation of our church and our community. Please complete the enclosed card and mail it to the church or place it in the offering plate on Sunday morning. Plan to attend church on Commitment Sunday, November 10 and join us for a reception in Stewart Hall following the service to celebrate our vision for the future.
