Romans 12:6-8 speaks about the different gifts God gives to us as people of faith, such as prophecy, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, and showing mercy. The main idea is that God has graciously gifted everyone differently, and each person should exercise their unique gift with excellence and a generous yet humble attitude to serve and build up the church body.

Our congregation yearns to share God’s love through the gifts of worship, learning, fellowship, caring and serving. It is through these simple "Gifts" that show us the path towards grace and happiness. From one generation to the next, we seek to grow in grace and love for the Lord and the world.

Since our beginnings in 1827, First Presbyterian Church of Savannah (FPC) has strived to be a “Servant Church in the City,” where our worship of God compels us to share God’s love through our many ministries with our family, neighbors, community, and world.

God commands us to be good stewards, plan wisely, and generously share God’s story and love through our actions of faith. In these pages you will learn more about the mission, programs, and financial stewardship of First Presbyterian Church of Savannah, and how your Gifts are being allocated to support our ministry of Worship, Learning, Fellowship, Serving and Caring.

Whether it’s giving a hand to our neighbors in need, nurturing children and adults in faith, or sustaining sacred space for all, your support helps us continue and grow our calling.

This narrative budget seeks to reflect not only the costs behind what it takes to run our ministry, but also the story behind the successes of our programs and the difference that they make in our church and world community.
The following pages will describe in detail how your generosity will serve the needs of our church family and outreach to others in need. We have come so far, this far, by faith and the Gifts from God. With these Gifts we will travel on, together, and feel God’s presence with us and in us, along the way.
