Sunday School & Extended Session
babies to 5 years old
9:30-10:30 a.m.
Ages: New Born to 5 Year Olds (Nursery Wing)
During the Sunday school hour, dedicated staff and volunteers provide a safe and loving environment
where our youngest children are nurtured in God’s love through play, stories, and compassionate care.
Children ages two through five years are lovingly nurtured in their faith through Bible stories, games,
activities, and storytelling using Cokesbury’s Deep Blue curriculum. Gifted volunteer teachers rotate
quarterly.
Extended Session: 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. (Nursery Wing)
During the 11:00 a.m. worship hour, a team of both paid staff and volunteers care for our children, ages
0-5 years. The children attend the first part of worship. They usually have a special time, "Invitation to the Children"; where they are told a simple Bible story and then they convene for "Extended Session". This is a broadly aged group of pre-schoolers who engage in play activities that are an extension of Sunday School while their older siblings and parents attend the worship service. Children listen to a Bible story, play games, and, weather permitting, spend some time on the playground.
